Citadel EHS Principal of ESG & Sustainability, Ravi Bajaj, attended and spoke at the 8th annual San Diego Green Building Conference & Expo on Friday, October 21st, 2022. SDGBCE22 is the sustainability industry’s premier conference in San Diego and a must for all industry professionals, leaders and organizations in our industry. The day long collaborative event included a dozen educational sessions, an expo hall, and engaging networking opportunities.

Our session, titled ” ES(H)G: Incorporating Health and Humanity Into an ESG Strategy for Buildings and Organizations” was presented by a panel of experts in the built environment including; Ravi Bajaj Principal of Sustainability & ESG of Citadel EHS,

With an ESG, WELL, Sustainability, Energy, and Building Sciences collaborative team the panel addressed best practices in health and wellness and resource conservation for the built environment from the building scale to portfolio scale. Today’s focus on ESG and climate resilience brings a new imperative for organizations to address issues such as greenhouse gas emissions, energy and water use, and climate risks. While these resilience strategies build a better future, it’s time to also reflect on the missing “H”, Health and Humanity. The session shared strategies, solutions and case studies that explore core principles of continuous improvement and ESG metrics as they relate to energy, water, and indoor environmental quality; and expanded our conversation into incorporating health and wellbeing from organizational goals down to building programs.
