Marriott AC Hotel Redevelopment

Citadel EHS provided hazardous materials consulting and construction-phase environmental support during the redevelopment and improvement of the 12-story property at 6399 Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles. Citadel's involvement spanned multiple phases of work, supporting the property as it transitioned from the former La Jolla Building through hotel redevelopment and subsequent Marriott AC improvements.

Citadel conducted environmentally regulated materials assessments and supported asbestos and lead abatement activities throughout the property. Services included asbestos and lead surveys, abatement project surveillance, visual inspections, asbestos and lead air monitoring, clearance testing, settled-dust sampling, regulatory compliance oversight, and comprehensive project closeout documentation.

During a major phase of redevelopment from 2017 through 2018, Citadel provided ongoing surveillance and air monitoring during removal of asbestos-containing and lead-containing materials. Citadel monitored work practices, engineering controls, worker protection measures, decontamination procedures, waste handling, and air quality to help verify that abatement activities were completed in accordance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and the project work plan.

Citadel continued supporting the property as improvements progressed, including additional asbestos and lead assessment associated with Marriott AC areas. The multi-year engagement provided the client with consistent environmental documentation and technical oversight across successive phases of hospitality redevelopment and renovation.
