Citadel EHS, through its integration with Aurora Industrial Hygiene, provides ongoing hazardous materials, industrial hygiene, and environmental consulting to San Diego Unified School District in support of school modernization, renovation, remediation, and facility improvement projects across the District’s K-12 portfolio. Our teams have supported elementary, charter, and high school campuses throughout San Diego, helping the District address environmental conditions while maintaining safe, compliant, and well-documented construction programs.

Citadel’s work includes asbestos and lead investigations, hazardous materials sampling, remediation and abatement oversight, air monitoring and clearance, PCB-related consulting, moisture and microbial investigations, contractor coordination, field documentation, and project close-out reporting. These services support both planned whole-site modernization projects and environmental conditions encountered as construction progresses.

The relationship continues today through projects such as the Elevate Charter School Whole Site Modernization, where Citadel is supporting asbestos remediation and associated hazardous materials activities. The scope includes review of existing asbestos and lead documentation, continuous contractor remediation oversight, asbestos clearance air sampling and analysis, supplemental asbestos and lead testing as needed, CIH/CAC project management, and preparation of project close-out documentation.
